Who we are
This website, alixra.com, is run by Ali Soleymani, trading as Alixra (not yet a registered company), Reykjavík, Iceland. For any question or complaint about your data, email [email protected].
Analytics cookies
With your permission, this site uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and see which pages are read. Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you choose “Reject”, or make no choice, nothing is sent to Google.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies on this site, _ga and _ga_Z5B6WWZ7FN, which by default last up to two years. They hold a random identifier, not your name or email address. Google’s advertising features are switched off: ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are always denied.
You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent stops Google Analytics on the page and removes its cookies from your browser. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser’s local storage, so the banner does not ask again on every page.
Visit counter (no cookies)
Separately from Google Analytics, the site keeps its own count of page views, whether or not you accept cookies. When a page opens, your browser tells our server which page it was, for example /en/services, and we add one to that page’s count for the day.
That number is all we keep. The counter sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, and we do not store your IP address, your browser details or any identifier, so a count cannot be linked to you or to your other visits. The daily counts are kept in a Supabase database in the EU (Ireland).
When you contact us
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive what you send — your name, email address, company, line of work, company size, preferred language and message — and use it only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell it or give it to anyone.
A message sent through the form is stored in our database at Supabase in the EU (Ireland) and forwarded to our own mailbox, hosted by Zoho in the EU, through Brevo, an email service based in France. We keep it for 12 months and then delete it.
To stop automated spam, the form uses a signed code that works only once, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address that is kept for 24 hours to count how many messages come from the same place. Your IP address itself is never stored.
How the site is delivered
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which handles technical request data such as your IP address in order to serve the pages and protect the site from abuse.
Our social publishing tool
Alixra runs an internal tool that publishes content for Alixra’s own brands, such as Vagga, to YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. It is not offered to the public: the only accounts connected to it are accounts Alixra manages itself.
The tool uses YouTube API Services. How Google handles data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
An account is connected through the platform’s own sign-in (OAuth), which gives the tool an access token. The token is used only to upload and publish videos and posts, with their titles, descriptions and images, to that account. The tool does not read any other data from the account.
Tokens are stored encrypted in the tool (n8n) on Alixra’s own server. They are sent only to the platform they belong to and are never shared with anyone else. The tool places no cookies on anyone’s device.
Access can be withdrawn at any time. For Google and YouTube, use the Google security settings page at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. For Facebook and Instagram, remove the app from the list of connected apps in the account’s settings.
Deleting your data
To have any data we hold about you deleted — including the publishing tool’s stored token and its record of what was published to a connected account — email [email protected] and say which account or email address it concerns. We delete it and confirm by email within one month, the time data protection law allows. Withdrawing access as described above also stops the token from working immediately.
Your rights
You can ask us which personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to Persónuvernd, the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (personuvernd.is).
